Technical University of Cluj-Napoca is the most important high level education institution in the North-West part of Romania offering specialized training in the technical areas. The university comprises more than 11000 students trained of about 680 teaching staff and it is involved in specific EU research and educational programmes dedicated to universities.
Simple4All involves the speech technology group which is part of the Multimedia and Telecommunications Research Centre and develops research expertise in the areas of advanced methods for speech signal processing, Text to Speech Synthesis and Automatic Speech Recognition based on HMM, ANN or CART.
Speech technology group has participated in the FP6 Marie Curie RTN “Sound2Sense”, Socrates Thematic Network on “Speech Communication Sciences”, eContentPlus “KeyToNature”, eTEN “Eurowex” and in the LLL funded educational programmes.
