Helsingin Yliopisto (The University of Helsinki) is a first class research university and the most successful one in Finland. Simple4All  research is carried out at the Department of Behavioural Sciences within the Multisensory Signals and Meanings research group (SigMe). The department has a long history in speech related research as it comprises the former departments of psychology and phonetics, as well as e.g, cognitive science. Within the department there are some twenty research groups, the most prominent of which is the Cognitive Brain Research Unit.
